Poetry, ethics, solidarity. Gruppo Uniesse is pleased to have contributed towards the ES.Lamodaunisce exhibition curated by Laura Valente and Paola Maddaluno and promoted by Fondazione Donnaregina per le Arti Contemporanee in collaboration with LESS as part of Madre per il Sociale. On Monday 17th June 2019, collections designed by Ozah Faith, Mamadou Keita, Adama Kouyate, Zainab Lokman, Toure Moumouni, Obagho Rhoda and Syll Cheikh with stylist Stefano Chiassai were presented at the prestigious backdrop of the Brera Pinacoteca.
The young designers, who are asylum seekers from Ivory Coast, Mali, Nigeria and Senegal showcased their clothes packed with poetry and high tailoring quality. Amongst the buttonholes and topstitching, Gruppo Uniesse buttons were used to help tell a story of several voices.
Gruppo Uniesse is proud to have collaborated on this project, which tells personal stories through the language of fashion, weaving together memory, knowledge, courage and dignity. The ES.Lamodaunisce exhibition, which draws on materials, dialogues and hopes, runs until 21st June 2019.
